(english version underneath)

Bl.a. fik Maria at vide da de afleverede ansøgningen at hun gerne måtte

studere.

I 2002 søgte 11.250 personer opholdstilladelse - 3.531 fik afslag.

Så kom den store stramning. For at kunne få ægtefællesammenføring i

opholdstilladelse i Danmark.

I 2003 søgte 6.520

personer opholdstilladelse - 3.745 fik afslag.

I 2004 søgte 5.838

personer opholdstilladelse  - 2.808 fik afslag.

I 2005 søgte 6.000

personer opholdstilladelse  - 2.650 fik afslag.

Maria who is a member of ' Marriage Without Borders' (Ægteskab uden Grænser)

in Danish, or on Website: www.aegteskabudengraenser.dk    has started a

signature petition collection, against the  inhumane 'Danish Foreign

Subjects Legislation'.

When she was 18 years old Maria travelled to Zimbabwe to see the world, and

" discover her self" In Zimbabwe she worked together with Jerry, and it was

not long before they both discovered that Eros dart had struck them and she

had met her life's consort.  In 2001 they decided to live in England, where

they lived for four years. With a daughter 18 months, and with number two on

the way they decided in May 2006, to come to Denmark, to be nearer too part

of their family and their joint friends, and so that Maria as a single

child, could support her Mum who had an industrial injury, and has brain

damage.

They had read about others experiences, and made sure that all their

documentation was in order ....... But now after 6 months they are still waiting

for a decision from the Danish 'Office of the Immigration Services'

(Udlændingeservice). The information they have received at present has been

inconsistent, and directly contradictory.  Amongst other things Maria was

told when she delivered the applications that she could carry on with her

studies. Five months latter she was told this was not correct.

The reason that she has started the signature petition collection, is not

just for her own case, but for a whole group of people who find them selves

in the same situation. With  whom she has come into contact with in the past

6 months. People need to open their eyes to all the innocents who are being

sacrificed in the name of 'Danish Immigration  Legislation'.

We think Danes should have the possibility to live in Denmark with their

married partner no matter what!

Will you help us to have " The Freedom to Love those we wish to Love" by

signing our Danish language petition at: www.fri-kaerlighed.skrivunder.dk  or

our English language petition at:

www.PetitionOnline.com/ourlove/petition.html

P.S.

The constant changes in Danish laws are not equitable, or the administration

there off. The legislation makes it impossible for human beings to know

where they stand..

The Danish 'Office of the Immigration Services'  provided the following

information: in 2001 15370 people had applied for a residence permits in

Denmark, for their married partner and children  3286 were refused.

In 2002 11.250 people applied for a residence permits in Denmark - 3531 were

refused

Then came the tightening up of the legislation. To be able to live with your

married partner in Denmark both man, and wife, had to be over 24 years old,

their affiliation to Denmark had to be stronger too Denmark than their

affiliation another country, unless the one living in Denmark had had Danish

citizenship for over 28 years. The same conditions applied too persons who

had lived in Denmark legally for over 28 years, and who besides this had

been born or grown up in Denmark or had come to Denmark as a small child,

The person who comes to Denmark needs to procure a so called

(anfordringsgaranti) 'An on Demand Guarantee' of 55241 Danish Crowns (approx

£5020 Sterling,  or 9725 $ US).

A lot of married couples there for emigrated abroad  and away from Denmark

and gave up trying to seek a residence permit in Denmark.

In 2003 those applying were 6520 persons for residence - 3745 were refused

In 2004 those applying were 5838 persons for residence - 2808 were refused

In 2005 those applying were 6000 persons for residence - 2650 were refused

In 2006 Maria has applied for residence together with her husband- She was

sure she would get it, but will he get a residence permit? After 6 months

uncertainty and suspense, she is still waiting for an answer and she fears

the worst.

Also when a  friend was refused a residence permit for her husband in the

same situation as she was in , then  she her friend that's is,  asked the

'Office of the Immigration Services'  " what do we do now ?"   The Case

Worker replied: " Well your husband can return to Africa, and send money to

you and your children from there to Denmark!".

Please forward this mail .........

Many thanks - In friendship
